- Brief overview of ARFID per DSM criteria and proposed subtypes
- Identifying barriers to ARFID treatment and where clinicians get hung up in implementing treatment interventions
- Presentation of current research and the use of different treatment modalities for effective intervention
- The use of rewards systems in the effective treatment of ARFID
- Case examples for different ARFID cases: what we did, what happened and how it’s going

- Attendees will be able to effectively use screening tools for case conceptualization and goal setting
- Attendees will have an improved ability to implement ERP interventions to optimize nutritional status
- Attendees will be able to create and implement reward systems that increase motivation and
engagement
Speaker Biography:
Emily received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition from the University of Tennessee. Emily started her behavioral health career working in an inpatient, general psychiatric care unit. From there, she began working specifically with eating disorder clients in the PHP, IOP and outpatient levels of care. Emily’s professional career has included work with children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders and other behavioral health diagnoses for 8 years. Emily has invested time while working in the field to gain a better understanding of therapeutic strategies and treatment modalities for eating disorders and other mental health disorders.
