From clinical training opportunities to fun and engaging musical events, our goal is to bring our community together in creating a path to renewed health for those seeking recovery. Event Description: Make plans to join Renewed and The Renfrew Center for a complimentary CE lunch & learn featuring Laurie Cooper, PsyD! Dr. Cooper oversees clinical and administrative operations of The Renfrew Center in Baltimore and Bethesda, MD; Nashville, TN and Pittsburgh, PA locations. She received her Doctorate of Psychology from Baylor University and completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. An Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University, her clinical and administrative experience includes 25 years of care in outpatient and intensive-care settings treating eating disorders, women’s issues and child and adolescent assessment/intervention. Dr. Cooper is a frequent lecturer on the topics of best practices in the treatment of eating disorders and helping mothers and daughters be authentic and resilient.
This event is intended for clinicians and professionals in the eating disorders field.
Presentation Topic: “Competent Eating Disorder Treatment for Neurodivergent Clients”
Presentation Description: From this presentation, attendees will be able to identify three ways that “treatment as usual” may be counterproductive to patients who identity as neurodivergent, be able to discuss ways in which clinicians’ own assumptions may lead to disconnection in relationships with neurodivergent clients, and be able to identify two modifications to routine treatment practices that may enhance treatment for neurodivergent clients.
CE Credits: One (1) CE hour will be available for NASW, NBCC & TAND attendees

Event Description: This award-winning conference is geared towards professionals who treat eating disorders or those interested in learning more about the treatment of eating disorders. The purpose of the conference is twofold: 1) to offer continuing education to professionals in the field and 2) to foster a collaborative networking experience for professionals and/or graduate-level students interested in the treatment of eating disorders and related conditions.
