Kathleen Yabroudy, President
Kathleen joined Renewed as executive director in April 2013 after three and a half years at Ernst & Young in McLean, Virginia. She worked as both staff and senior auditor, managing the day-to-day operations of two SEC audit engagements. Kathleen was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee where she was actively involved with the youth program at First Presbyterian Church as well as class leadership and athletics at the Harpeth Hall School.
Kathleen loves working for Renewed, as the organization has had a significant impact on her family through the recovery of her own eating disorder as well as her sister’s.
She previously attended Washington and Lee University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Subsequently, she earned a Masters of Accounting at the University of Virginia.
Outside of work, Kathleen is a board member of the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Ambassadors, a group that raises money to fund innovative, ground-breaking cancer research. She also enjoys participating on the W&L Nashville Alumni Chapter board.
Courtney Grimes, LCSW
Courtney was introduced to Renewed in 2005 during her recovery from an eating disorder. She has been involved (and in love) with the organization ever since. Courtney was the keynote speaker for Evening of Song and Story in 2009, has served on the Renewed Membership Committee and serves as speaker trainer for the Renewed Speaker’s Bureau. She created and facilitates the Southeast’s only free support group for college aged women (CO-ED) who are in recovery, and currently acts as Tennessee’s eating disorder referral clinician, connecting patients with recovery resources state-wide.
Courtney has been a part of the Nashville music industry since 1999, working with record labels such as Sony Records and DreamWorks Records and with artists such as Toby Keith, Jessica Andrews, Daryl Worley, Mary Chapin Carpenter, LeAnn Rimes and Lyle Lovett. Courtney has also worked with numerous Nashville industry and media outlets including Gibson Guitar, The Nashville Scene, Nashville Lifestyles Magazine, Her Magazine, HGTV, CMT, MTV, GAC, ABC, VH1 and The Grand Ole Opry.
She attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Belmont University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Opera Performance. After leaving the music industry, she received a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. In addition to her work with Renewed, Courtney is a psychotherapist in private practice with Symmetry Counseling Services. She is originally from Atlanta, Ga., and currently resides in East Nashville.
Lauran Sauter, Director of Marketing
Lauran joined Renewed in September 2013. Lauran is a proud alumna of the University of Tennessee as well as the University of South Carolina where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and her Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communication, respectively.
Having previously worked in marketing with several nonprofit organizations, she is excited to be part of the Renewed team and enjoys using her skills and experience to help others overcome hardship.
